Welcome to the official website of the International Conference on Food Science and Nutrition (ICFSN 2017). This conferenceis organized by Faculty of Food Science and Nutrition, Universiti Malaysia Sabah, and will be held in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia from 25th to 26th October 2017.
The food industry is constantly changing. New developments and innovations continuously strive to increase nutritional value of foods, and to address social and cultural preferences of consumers. Bringing delicious, nutritious, safe, culturally appropriate, and yet exciting and innovative food is truly multi-disciplinary. Sabah has many opportunities for discovering new food sources which have never been scientifically studied. This conference provides great opportunities for establishing networks in future multi-disciplinary research, locally and internationally.
We invite you to present your new findings in food science, food technology, food safety, food service management and nutrition to an audience of scientists, government agencies and food industries.
The International Conference on Food Science and Nutrition therefore aims to disseminate and share the latest research findings, ideas, and technology in the field of Food Science, Nutrition and Foodservice as well as to provide a platform for local and international researchers to interact critically, engage research collaboration among researchers, and to transfer knowledge and innovations.
The conference will focus on five main themes:
1. Innovative Food Products and Processes 2. Food Safety and Quality 3. Nutrition 4. Food Security 5. Food and Culture Selected papers will be published in the International Journal of Food Science & Technology, and other papers will be published in the Conference e-Proceedings.
